Wood veneer is available in many types of wood, including oak, bamboo, walnut, beech, cedar, cherry, hickory, pine  and almost everything in between.

It is used as a cost-saving technique for both the manufacturer and the consumer alike. However, materials covered with veneer does not necessarily equate to being a cheap product.

Furniture made from other materials and covered in a real wood veneer can be a sensible option for outfitting rooms in your home with quality options that won’t break the bank.

Sure, a mahogany armoire is a beautiful thing, indeed. But just in case you don’t have thousands in your budget for exquisite furniture, veneer-covered furniture becomes a sufficient substitute.
