Bathrooms are one of the first areas of our home we can feel like we’ve outgrown.
This has a lot to do with the fact that bathrooms are typically designed to be a bit smaller (in scale) than other rooms so that precious square footage can be used as elsewhere.
It can also be contributed to the fact that we accumulate so many things over time combined with the fact the naturally limited storage options for bathrooms.
Depending upon the size of our bathrooms, storage options can be limited. No matter how limited they are, there are always ways to improve the storage in our bathrooms.
Here’s one:
Either Side of the Pedestal
To make a bathroom feel more open and improve storage space at the same time, purchase a slim-profile pedestal sink and place a mirror above it that isn’t wider than the pedestal.
Then, place two tower-style storage cabinets on either side of the sink. Not only will this improve the symmetry and balance of the bathroom, but it will also creates separate storage areas.
Each person will have their own space, which surely spares the sanity of both individuals. In smaller bathrooms where installing his-and-her sinks aren’t possible, this is the next best option.
