Welcome to the third installment of our series on changing your walls from bland to interesting.
The first ‘Fill in the Blanks‘ showed how text-based art prints can affect a space.
‘Fill in the Blanks – Part 2‘ displayed a low-cost way to incorporate classic botanical prints into your home as well as a way to give them a modern DIY update.
Here’s another unique way to add some interest to your walls:
Calendars as Art
Thinking outside of the box is perhaps the best way to ensure your home’s design is one-of-a-kind and uniquely fits your personality.
The design of the large, traditional desk calendar has certainly come a long way and they are available in a number of colors designs and patterns.
The good news for your walls is, these desk calendars aren’t confined to your desk. Take a matte, canvas, print, etc. that matches your room’s design and is large enough to fit the desk calendar on it and place it in a complimenting frame (with no glass front).
Glue the bottom of the calendar to the center of the matte board and hang the frame once the glue has set. Now, the “desk” calendar displays all your important dates and appointments at eye level and the page can easily be torn off when the month passes without having to take down the frame.
