Light is central to human existence. Everything we do and how we schedule our daily activities solely revolves around when the sun rises and when it sets. Our dependence upon lighting is a part of our very nature.
Last week, we introduced a new mini-series centered around lighting. If you missed it, you can read it here (Light the Way – Part 1).
If it’s that important, we should do all we can to make sure the lighting we come in contact with is of the highest quality. We can’t do anything about the sun, but we can control the lighting in our home.
With the myriad of lighting options available, there is virtually no excuse for having lighting fixtures that aren’t exactly what you want or need.
The Reeler 1-Light Adjustable Floor Lamp by Kenroy Home is a contemporary lighting option for your home office, library, bedroom or any other room where more focused light is necessary.
Floor lamps such as this, in which the light is not directed upward, pick up where delicate and decorative ceiling lights leave off. Often, the ceiling light would be enough, but the room has been arranged in such a way where extra wattage is necessary in certain areas.
Finished in brushed steel while sporting a slightly curved arm and adjustable pivot makes this a prime choice for reading or writing. The accompanying 8-inch diameter white textured drum lampshade softens the light while still allowing the light to flow wherever you may need it.
Check back next week for Part 3 of the series.
