One of the beautiful things about this planet is the differences among us. These many differences don’t end when it comes to where we lay our heads to rest.

This third installment will shift focus to a number of mattress types that may not be as common as the previous types or may not be intended for everyday use.
Air Mattress
These mattresses use ever-abundant air in lieu of springs for support. Air mattresses have come a mighty long way from the models constructed of cheap materials to serve as emergency bedding for surprise guests.
Adjustable Firmness Beds
You’ve probably seen the late-night infomercials for these mattresses as well. Adjustable firmness mattresses feature air chambers that fill with and release air at the individual’s discretion. These split panel beds accommodate the varying needs of partners, allowing both of them to sleep optimally without forcing the other to be uncomfortable.
Eclectic Beds
There are of course as many eclectic bedding options as there are eclectic individuals. Some of these items loosely fit the definition of what a bed can be.
Remember when water beds were extremely popular during the 1970’s and 1980’s? There’s no need to be ashamed if you had (or still have) one of these. They’re actually starting to creep back up in popularity today.
Whether you’re prefer the traditional innerspring mattress, or have switched to the memory foam variation and aren’t looking back, there are a large number of bedding options with one perfectly suited for you.
