Just because a dining room is small doesn’t mean it has to lack features or be less appealing than a large formal dining room.
This is the second feature in our series on solutions for small dining spaces.
The first ‘Small Space Dining Solutions‘ showed how round dining tables really allow you to get the most out of the space by increasing the flow of the layout.
Here’s another way to maximize the space in a smaller dining area:
Going Small Doesn’t Mean Sacrificing
A common misconception when designing for small spaces is that you have to sacrifice amenities.
While there may be a few instances where that holds true, you simply need to scale back the size of the amenities as well.
The Grand Isle Sideboard by American Drew allows you to have the same storage options of a full-sized credenza, just with less storage capacity. It has drawers for serving utensils, glassware racks, storage for plates and dishes along with a surface ample enough for serving a reasonable meal four buffet-style.
So don’t think you have to sacrifice the things you’ve become accustomed to just because you’re dealing with a smaller space.
