Transition into Summer

Jenny Sofa Collection by Klaussner

The weather has finally broken and our attitudes have shifted. Bring on the summer.

There seems to be something holding us back though: our dark, drab interiors. Believe it or not, this has a huge impact on our moods.

Inject some brightness and a little flair into your home to get it feeling like summer in no time.

Quick tip: don’t look at remodeling or redecorating as burdensome, but rather as a quick and inexpensive way to keep your home lively and your mood bright.

Paint is by far the best way to completely change the look of a room. Weren’t planning on rolling up your sleeves this time around? No big deal.

Try changing the throw pillows. Lighter, more neutral-toned furniture is easier to incorporate a summer palette into. Darker furniture can be lightened with slipcovers.

The rest is in the details. Swap out many of your accent pieces for items like sea shells, baskets, light-colored picture frames, etc. Another neat trick is to completely clean out the fireplace and place a colorful, summer flower arrangement inside.

You don’t have to go outside to experience the feel of summer.
