Warm Color Schemes

Jester Club Chair by Armen Living

Color has a direct effect on our moods, our decisions and our overall disposition.

This is no secret and scientific evidence has proven it over the years and it explains why certain companies use specific colors for certain brands. For example, red is known to make us thirsty.

Knowing that, take a second look at the iconic Coca-Cola can or the number of restaurants and bars that use the color in its interiors.

Warm colors have been proven to be inviting and have a comforting, soothing effect. Whether you’re relaxing at home alone or entertaining a number of guests, who couldn’t stand to have an inviting and comforting home?

So, in the event you’re looking to redecorate and are looking for inspiration, here are a number of warm color schemes that work well together:

(If the names of any of the colors seem strange or unfamiliar, someone in the paint aisle of your nearest home improvement store can help you find that and similar colors.)

  • Persimmon and Yellow
  • Beige and Burgundy
  • White and Red
  • Orange and Fuchsia
  • Charcoal and Red
  • Royal Blue and Orange
  • Brown and Butterscotch

When searching for ideas, a search through design magazines and materials in the paint aisle of the home improvement store are always solid starting points. Bring samples home and test until you get the right combination.
